OED Online supports versions 4.0 and above of Netscape and versions 4.0 and above of Internet Explorer. We expect OED Online to work well on almost any graphical browser less than four years old, but it will work best on the most current version of a browser.

How to determine which version of your browser you are using

Netscape Navigator

Go to Netscape's Automatic Software Upgrade Page. The page will tell you whether you are using the most recent version of Netscape Navigator or Communicator. If you do need to upgrade, you may do so from this page.

Internet Explorer

Launch Internet Explorer.

From the Apple (Macintosh) or Help (Windows) menu, select ‘About Internet Explorer’.

The version number is indicated in the resulting window.
