Latest new entries

On 11 September 2008 the New Edition was updated with revised entries in a series of discrete alphabetical ranges, as well as the addition of new entries from across the alphabet. In some ranges, not every entry was revised, as editorial effort was concentrated on the most significant groups of related words. In addition, entries for days of the week and months of the year were revised. The table below shows the ranges which were covered, together with some of the more notable entries within them. For further details see the Chief Editor's commentary on the latest revision. Below this are listed all the new words in the ranges.
